VOL show Dec 21st. Rob Potter interviews Don Yellowman Joann Armenta  and Mark Snyder all who are working on many basic programs for the Navajo and Hopi Peoples. This show must be heared to understand the contnued criminal activity that is oppressing our native brothers and sisters on the resevations of the Hopi and the Navajo. The message is we can make a difference through our support finacially and politically. Please lend your support to the  innocent people especially the elders of the Hopi and Navaho people.

Today’s radio show will feature Jo Ann Armenta, Don Yellowman, President for the Forgotten People and advocate for rehabilitating the former Bennett Freeze and preserving the Dine spiritual, traditional and cultural Life-ways on the Navajo Nation. The Bennett Freeze comprises of 9 communities forced to live in third world conditions as described in the short video. This exemplifies Structural Violence when people are forced to haul water and live without electricity.

The Forgotten People members are primarily made up of elders living in these very inhumane conditions. To help minimize their suffering we partner with many renewable energy experts to support alternative energy solutions. The Plateau Solar Project was funded to install solar and wind powered systems to our elders in remote areas on the Navajo Nation.

But NOW, during this already harsh Winter there are days without sun that cause the systems to stop operating…thus our dilemma is to maintain the existing system with back up power by providing them generators.

The immediate need is Now…we are asking for your Tax deductible donations to purchase 50 generators at $500 each to be installed immediately.

Additional funding is also needed to help empower our people with the training required to maintain the systems to run optimally…to reduce the demand and overload….again creating further causes for failures…and exposing them to the elements.

Again, your DONATIONS if made before December 31st are deductible
